Purebloods

April 2011, I came up with an idea for a novel. This idea was Purebloods, the first book in a projected trilogy.

It hasn’t always been easy (writing is hard), and I’ve lost count of all the rewrites and plot issues I’ve had to solve, but it is getting there. I believe in it, and I’m happy with what I have.

At the moment (updated 29th August 2014), I have 230,000 words in, and I’m about 2/3rd way through. I hope to have the first draft finished sometime next year.

I have created this page to get the ball rolling, in regards to getting my work out there. You don’t get published by working silently in your room, and it’s about time I took a step forward.

Also, I want to give you all an idea of what I’m up to when I’m not posting pictures of the cat, or moaning about…well, whatever it is that is bothering me that day.

I’m not going to write up a synopsis, nor am I going to tell you what genre it is in, or share any hints on what Purebloods is about. Not yet anyway.

I should warn you that it is an adult novel, and I don’t mean one of those cheap paperbacks that lonely people read. No, Purebloods has violence, cursing…all that good stuff. I don’t say this to put you off (please read my prologue, it isn’t extreme I promise), but I just thought I’d warn you that it might be distressing at times. Essentially, I’m not writing a happy novel about love, bunny rabbits and rainbows. It’s not something you should read to small children.
